Animal fats and vegetable oils can damage your belt creating cracks on the cover. This can cause migration of PVC onto any food item you are conveying and also any crack can cause bacterial growth within the belt.
Our Duck series was developed as your best PVC solution for food conveying applications. These belts feature PVC covers that are highly resistant to animal, mineral and vegetable oils and fats.
Belts like our Duck 20 Blue also have a polyurethane impregnation on the bottom fabric to protect it from any contamination.
Our Duck series belts also have a certification from SGS labs to have passed all tests required by the Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 for overall migration, migration and heavy metals and Phthalates as well a certification to have passed all tests required by Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 concerning REACH, screening 201 substances of very high concern (SVHC) listed by European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).
